there's much stuff to be done in the next few weeks, like get an 8page paper written, do some animating, finish my blade, and splat some ink on sumpin'. oh, and some more animating.

this weds and fri there's animation shown at MassArt. exciting times.

then, next weekend is mother's day.

may 22-24 is anime boston, very exciting.

then in june what'll happen? maybe i'll paint.

we had a discussion in my bladesmithing class a lil while ago, and Frank Frazetta was brought up. not everyone knew about him. you need to know who Frank Frazetta is. he's the man. he is the one who kickstarted the fantasy painting genre featuring muscley barbarian men and half-naked amazon women. yes, you must google Frank Frazetta now. the influence of his work can be seen in nearly every modern fantasy illustrator's work.

oh, and go see Fire and Ice, too, it's a pretty sweet animation that also featured some art direction by him. during it's day it was discredited because it made use of rotoscoping and was not directed towards children. however, it is a fine piece of animation despite not being very well-known.
